Considering the face as a whole

Surgical facial rejuvenation considers the relationship between the face and neck, tissue position and the changes associated with ageing. Planning focuses on the concerns that matter to you while respecting your individual features.

Suitability and options

Skin laxity, changes in contour and excess skin may prompt an assessment. Facelift, neck surgery and eyelid procedures are options to discuss based on your anatomy. Technique and possible combinations require a clinical examination; there is no single approach for everyone.

Preparation and recovery

Consultation includes your medical history, medication, smoking and previous procedures. Tests and anaesthetic assessment are arranged when indicated. Swelling, bruising and temporary changes in sensation can occur. Return to work, exercise and social activities is planned around the surgery and your progress.

Limitations and risks

Surgery does not stop ageing. Scars and asymmetry are part of the discussion about expectations. Bleeding, infection, healing problems, nerve injury and anaesthetic complications are among the risks to discuss individually.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best age to consider surgery?

Age alone does not determine suitability. Anatomy, health, concerns and expectations guide assessment.

Will the outcome look natural?

A natural-looking outcome is a planning objective that considers proportions and identity. Individual outcomes cannot be guaranteed.

When can I return to my routine?

Timing depends on the extent of surgery, your activities and recovery. Work, exercise and social commitments should be discussed separately.
